5W Insights: Implementing a Scalable Brand Identity
I. About the Project
-
🎯 The Challenge
5W Insights’ legacy, text-heavy marketing approach was creating friction at live events, greeting prospects with dense reading material rather than engaging brand experiences. The challenge was to distill the company’s wealth of information into a modern, visual-first system that simplified messaging, prioritized high-impact visuals, and invited human-to-human conversations.

👤 My Role
Serving as the Lead Visual Strategist and Creative Director, I directed the brand evolution from initial executive alignment through the final omnichannel rollout.
-
⚙️ The Process
- Stakeholder Alignment: Partnered with executive leadership to transition our detailed corporate messaging into a "less is more" visual philosophy, demonstrating how strong visual anchors would act as better conversation-starters.
- Digital Redesign & Asset Scalability: Executed the launch of the new corporate website, overhauling the UI/UX to align with the simplified brand identity, and built robust, scalable templates for high-volume marketing materials (eBooks, case studies, social media).
- Experiential Design: Translated the new visual strategy into physical environments, intentionally designing tradeshow architecture to be highly scannable and viewer-friendly, placing the emphasis on conversation rather than passive reading.
-
📈 The Outcome
Delivered a flawless, cohesive suite of omnichannel marketing and experiential tradeshow materials that successfully projected a unified brand identity to the market. By transforming a fragmented legacy library into an agile system of scalable templates, I protected the brand's long-term governance and equipped the internal team with the tools to maintain visual consistency moving forward.
II. Conference Booth
Tradeshow backdrop
The legacy backdrop over-indexed on dense educational copy, which forced attendees into a passive reading experience and acted as a visual barrier. To shift the dynamic, I streamlined the messaging architecture to feature only core value propositions. By introducing bold, human-centric visual elements and high-contrast typography, I transformed the footprint from a clinical informational display into an active lead-generation space designed to spark conversation.
Floor Sign
The legacy floor sign suffered from the same information overload, attempting to cram dense paragraphs into a narrow vertical layout. I re-engineered this asset using the updated visual puzzle motif and high-contrast brand system to maximize legibility from a distance. This strategic adaptation allows the sign to act as a seamless visual extension of the primary booth, or serve as a commanding, standalone brand anchor in smaller event footprints.
Podium Wrap
While the legacy wrap already utilized the puzzle motif on its side panels, the front-facing graphic felt like a clinical presentation slide that washed out under stage lighting. By wrapping the entire 3D structure in the new high-contrast brand palette and introducing an engaging human element to the primary face, I transformed a basic logo placement into a bold, cohesive anchor that visually grounds the speaker.
III. LinkedIn
Omnichannel Lead Generation
As the digital extension of the event campaign, this LinkedIn carousel was engineered to drive top-of-funnel awareness and booth attendance. I structured the five-slide sequence as a high-conversion digital funnel, distilling complex incentives—such as AI donor insights and ROI case studies—into a bold, highly scannable narrative. This strategic pacing captures online interest and actively converts digital engagement into physical tradeshow traffic.
Co-Branded Executive Promotion
Promoting a CEO keynote session required a layout that could balance the newly established 5W visual identity with rigid conference co-branding requirements. I developed a high-contrast digital asset with a strict visual hierarchy, ensuring critical session details and executive authority stand out in high-distraction social feeds while preserving seamless institutional brand continuity.
